Band practice
My friend Easton Millet recently invited me to assist with a photo shoot for the band Martian Horses at Black Box Recording Studios in Golden Hill. The seven-piece band was a pleasure to work with and it wasn’t half bad shooting photos while listening to some awesome tunes. Thanks to Steve and Jimmy Hilferty for their hospitality.
Halloweekend
It was an evening of ghouls, goblins and really scantily dressed girls at the W Hotel. I shot photos for 944 magazine dressed as an Indian goddess, with sari-tying skills courtesy of Cathryne.

Photos in print
My photos appear on two pages of this month’s 944 San Diego magazine.
Taken at the Del Mar “Party in the Paddock” on closing day of the races; English Beat performed:

The stars came out for the Taste at the Cove charity event in La Jolla and after-party at Azul. Making appearances (and shown below) were Kiptyn Locke from The Bachelorette, Marshall Faulk, Tony Hawk, San Diego Padres pitcher Luke Gregerson and third-baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff, Tony Gwynn, Jr., Shawne Merriman and Ted Leitner, and basketball vet Bill Walton. Was a fun night out to stay the least.

Street Scene ‘09
For me, going to Street Scene is kind of like a visit to the dentist. I haven’t been in awhile and I’m hoping for the best, but deep down I know the whole thing is probably going to suck (and drain my checking account).
A free ticket and photo pass made it a little more tolerable. But then the heat…yeah, take two steps back. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
Fotos from the big day: (I skipped Saturday to attend my girl Aubs’ book release party.)

Cake. I’d be pissed, too, if the Black Eyed Peas’ stage set-up was covering up my sweet slide show:

I think we can all agree that Girl Talk stole the show:

Shutterbuggin’
So far I haven’t found one bad thing about carrying my camera with me wherever I go.
Today at Target I spotted this beautiful pillow, but wasn’t sure if it would go with the rest of my living room decor. Took a pic, checked it out at home and…SCORE!

Saw this sign yesterday in a store window on Cass Street. It made me smile and wonder how the owner is spending his time off.
