I didn’t have the easiest time coming up with something to write about the Salton Sea trip we took a couple weeks ago. I figured my photos would do most of the talking. After a conversation with Natalie the other night, I realized that I’d be crazy to think even the smallest fraction of the stories behind these peoples’ lives could be told in a picture. Sure, you can see the enthusiasm in Leonard Knight‘s eyes and, well, the drunkenness in others’, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Nat hit the nail right on the head: “You don’t just end up in Slab City. Some shit must have really gone down in your life.”
Perhaps we’ll have to go back sometime and share more than just beers and blunts.
P.S. Hooray for this being my 300th post!
