Inspiration Station
Just watched President Obama’s speech.
Then hung up my new poster.
Yay!

Oscar fever
Begin sales pitch now: I’ve been working on these little beauties for a week or so but all the glam of last night’s Oscars inspired me to finish the job. The pearls with sterling silver chain and geometric lavender sparkle are perfect for dressing up any casual evening outfit or pulling off a red-carpet worthy Kate Winslet impression. The pair is yours for $50. The rest is up to you!

Look, Ma! No feet!
When I was first introduced to Lucky, she was a feisty alley cat who ruled the streets of Ocean Beach, charming the leftovers out of any unsuspecting animal lover with a weakness for her piercing yellow doe eyes and velvet fur. I’m sure she wasn’t thrilled about moving away from the beach (and deli, her favorite mooching spot), but there’s just as much adventure to be had in the Val. I can hardly stand to watch her tree acrobatics, but there’s no doubt the kitty’s still got her edge!

One paw on the limb, three in the air… *holding breath*

Saving the planet, one battery at a time.
The office building where I work is competing for certification in the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. There are a number of things employees have to do to help achieve the rating, such as using recycled paper, recycling used toner cartridges, and turning off computers when they’re not in use. Another one is recycling batteries. Not sure when the last time the battery receptacle in the hallway was emptied, but I’m guessing it’s been awhile:

Hard to believe the trashcan is about 2 feet tall!
Day 5
Back to work tomorrow after the longest weekend ever.
Omg, it’s pouring outside!

[Countdown] to: respawn
Good idea: Celebrating three friends’ birthdays in one fell swoop with the 3-way B-day pub crawl.
Bad idea: Going back to Mandi’s house and playing Xbox with Josh, while harassing 14-year-olds (and an “almost 18″ year-old) over the radio waves.
Feeling a little over the hill (and under the weather) today.

Saturday: Adventure
It’s Valentine’s Day, a perfect time to go out and experience my love of nature. Dusted off the ol’ Huffy (my friends used to call it a Hussy, ha!), put some air in the tires, and pedaled off onto the open road. Life was in full effect after the sprinkles last night.
