Y did it have to end?
Seeds of Change
It’s finally here: the AIGA San Diego “Y” Conference: Seeds of Change is less than 3 weeks away! After 13 years in action, the Y is going “green” for 2008 — bringing some of the biggest names in sustainable design to the Y13 stage.
Environmentalist, entrepreneur and author Paul Hawken is the event’s keynote speaker, with moderator Susan Szenasy from Metropolis magazine, and speakers including editors from DIY magazine ReadyMade, ridesharing company GoLoco and other pioneers devoted to preserving the planet.
Why the Y, you ask? Because there’s no better way to get a healthier dose of inspiration, motivation, and overall good vibes in less than 3 days. This will be my fourth year attending the conference (along with 400 other designers/businesspeople/and generally just “good people”). I don’t plan on missing out on a Y conference anytime soon.
Need a second opinion? Or third? Or fourth? These guys are stoked on the Y, too:
Alissa Walker, Unbeige
Carmen Pease, HOW magazine
Mari Nakano, WordPress
Still not convinced? Check out the archives section of the Y13 website to access video Podcasts from previous conferences. You won’t be disappointed!
