Moth makes Pictory!

Remember that radical road trip I took to the Salton Sea earlier this year? Welp, my favorite photo from the trip is now featured on my favorite photo blog, Pictory. Yay!

Go say hello to Moth and check out all the other excellent images from America’s top-notch tiny towns.

Married! Kari + Joel Walson

This is one of those weddings I wish I could shoot every weekend.

Falling in love + Joycelyn & Bryan engagement teaser!

Who says wedding season is over? It seems fall is prime time for tying the knot, and being booked for photos three weekends in a row this month is damn good proof of that. Bring on the cake!

I’m especially excited for the October 29 wedding of Joycelyn and Bryan, newlyweds-to-be from Golden Hill. If one thing’s for sure, this event is sure to be the party of the month. (I’m looking at you, Reagan LaCour!)

Swings: Bolivia on Flickr

It’s hard to believe there’s only one week left for us in Bolivia. So far we’ve traveled to three cities outside of La Paz, taking a ton of photos and footage for the documentary. I think Jeff and Drew would agree, there’s just so much to see and take in here, it’s overwhelming. And that’s why there’s almost 250 photos to share from our first week alone!

Save the link and check it regularly, as I’ll be adding more photos to the set during our final days on tour.

No mas silly pictures.

There was never any doubt that touring Salar de Uyuni would be incredible. As the world’s largest salt flat, it’s both really big and really white; and for a photographer, it also qualifies as the largest seamless background I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Oscar, our tour guide, insisted we spend our time on the Salar by taking “silly pictures,” you know, posing and playing with depth perception to make ourselves seem huge or tiny, like this. Instead, I took portraits of the crew (and Jeff took mine) wandering around the flats, which really reminded me of the moon, or the sun, or some other other-worldly place.

And because we haven’t forgotten our reason for being here, I’ll soon be posting some photos of us getting our swing on, on the flats.

Swinging in the rain

We had to break out the rain gear this weekend, but it didn’t keep us from hanging a few swings around town…

and picking up some pretty things for the apartment.

Smokin’ from Shootin’

As it turns out, Bolivia looks a little bit more like Mars than I thought it would.
Here is Drew at the Sol de Mañana volcano in the Bolivian Andes.

Hijinks on the Salar

We’re back from our tour of Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat.
Also, this just in: Boys will be boys.

Muchacha de La Paz

I’m probably an idiot for walking around a city within a third-world country with $4,000 worth of camera equipment strapped around my neck. But if I didn’t, then I probably wouldn’t come home with photos like this.

Molly, the girlfriend of Jeff Waldman, our fearless leader of this month-long South American adventure, is posting updates here. Follow along.
